How do you say Shut Up in French, translation

The verb used in French for shutting someone else’s mouth by command is called “Taire” and the conjugation, and equivalent to “shut up” is “Tais-toi”.

Whenever we want someone to stay quiet, or stop talking, there are two ways of doing that, politeness compels us to do it by asking nicely, but when someone is so stubborn, uneasy, anxious or we are talking about a non-stopping talker kid, we end up using option two, which is commanding that person to “shut his mouth up”.
